synopsis
On August 14, 1947, India declared her independence from the British
empire, just one year before Jaibir and Rita Bajaj, were married. The
country was divided by religion, and finding themselves on the wrong
side, Jaibir, Rita, and their families were forced to leave everything
behind, fleeing their homes in an attempt to escape.
