A story about rape, about maternity, about creation, about existence.
The film “MATER” has been made again in collaboration with the drawings by Paolo Bonfiglio and the music by Mick Harris.
The plot, made of few ordinary repeated actions, can be interpretated in different ways owing to its great ambiguity.
The central theme, considered both as an artistic attitude or as a natural consequence of an earlier event, is the creative act, but the absurd result of this conception brings to a tragic ending.
