NOWHERE TO GO – ONE FAMILY’S EXPERIENCE
2009, 5:00
“Nowhere To Go” – a series of 10 large cutout drawings executed between 1990-1993 based on one family’s Holocaust experience. I collaborated on these works with my father who passed away in l993. He named the series NOWHERE TO GO because all efforts to get his parents out of Germany were to no avail. This haunted him for his entire life.

Stop Stealing My Face
2008, 3:11
Drawings of my mother, a refugee from Nazi Germany, sitting at her bedside in Hospice where she was dying – a visual diary – interspersed with images of war. Marlene Dietrich singing Pete Seeger’s moving anti-war song Where Have All the Flowers Gone, which is the link between the personal and political.

Title: Photobooth Snap – Months into One Minute
I take a PhotoBooth snapshot of myself everyday. Here are bunches of them….taken over a period of one year and 4 months. I like to do a narcissistic visual diary looking at changes in appearance and mood.
